Ruth A. Petrikovicz, 78, of Forest City, PA, died Wednesday morning, April 1, 2015 at VNA Hospice, Scranton, PA. Born in Crystal Lake, PA, she was the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Conrad Thomas. Ruth was a 1954 graduate of Greenfield Township High School and over the years, she was a waitress and manager for the Country Inn of Clarks Summit, PA and the After Five Supper Club in Dickson City, PA. She loved tending to her garden and was extremely proud of her grandsons. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who cherished her family. She is survived by a daughter: Brenda Lowry and husband Rusty of Clifford Township, PA; a son: George Reshetar of Forest City, PA; two grandsons: Michael Zielinski of Dunmore, PA and Matthew Zielinski and wife Lisa of Pleasant Mount, PA; a great grandson: Luke Zielinski; a sister: Mary Canavan of Factoryville, PA; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Anna Mae Thomas; a brother: Paul Snyder. A funeral service was held Friday, April 3, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. from the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 18 Airport Road, Clifford, PA, with Pastor Bonnie Resseguie, of the Clifford Baptist Church, officiating.
