Ruth Lillian (Cosklo) Belaski, 83, died Friday, October 24, 2025 at the Carbondale Nursing and Rehab Center.

Born September 30, 1942 in Carbondale, PA, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Mary (Malinchak) Cosklo.

Ruth was a 1960 graduate of Fell High School and worked in the office of the Gentex Corporation for seven years. She then had the opportunity to travel the world and live in China where she taught English to many.

She was a faithful member of Our Lady of the Rosary Parish, Carbondale, and enjoyed golfing, gardening, cooking, swimming and her casino trips. She also enjoyed spending time in Florida.

Most of all she loved her time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she was so proud of. Her family extends a heartfelt thank you to Ruth's daughter-in-law, Jean Wormuth, whom she thought of as a daughter and her sister-in-law, Kathy Cosklo, who was like a sister to her. Their love and care to Ruth is forever cherished.

She is survived by her sister-in-law: Kathy Cosklo of Fell Township, PA; daughter-in-law: Jean Wormuth of Carbondale, PA; daughter-in-law: Marisa Wormuth of Childs, PA; sister-in-law: Gail Cosklo of Fell Township, PA; grandchildren: Ashley Loomis and husband, Daryl, John Wormuth and fiancé, Josephine Bond, Michael Wormuth and wife, Erika, Susan and Mariah Wormuth; great grandchildren: Dylan and Eva Loomis, Mason, Tanner, Dustin and Emma Wormuth and Charlie Chapple; godsons: Gene and Ron Cosklo; special niece: Jessica Brennan and several other nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by three sons: Michael, Douglas and Daniel "Duke" Wormuth and three brothers: Andrew, Ronald and Eugene Cosklo.

The funeral was held Monday, November 3, 2025 from the Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 89 Farview Street, Carbondale, PA, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. in St. Rose of Lima Church, 6 North Church Street, Carbondale, PA, celebrated by Rev. Joseph Mosley, pastor. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA.

Pallbearers: John Wormuth, Michael Wormuth, Daryl Loomis, Dylan Loomis, Gene Cosklo and Parker Cosklo.

A viewing was held Sunday, November 2, 2025 from 5-7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations were made in Ruth's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
