Russell M. Rivenburg, 70, a lifelong resident of Greenfield Township, PA., died Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at home. Born September 15, 1938 in Carbondale, PA., he was the son of the late Harry R. and Viola M. (Merritt) Rivenburg.He was a graduate of Greenfield Township High School and ran the family dairy farm in Greenfield Township for many years. He was also the caretaker for many years at the Willow View Cemetery in Clifford, PA. He is survived by one sister: Alice Everitt of Carbondale, PA.; one brother: Ronald Rivenburg and wife Beverly of Bel Air, MD.; several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by one brother: Rex Rivenburg.The funeral was held Saturday, May 16, 2009 at 11:00 AM from the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home Cremation Services, Dundaff Main Streets, Clifford, PA., with the Rev. Jay Best, officiating. Interment, Tompkinsville Cemetery, Tompkinsville, PA. Pallbearers: Kevin Rivenburg, Daniel Zaleski, Ronald White, Carl and Jason Short. Friends called Saturday from 10:00 AM until service time.
