Rosemarie Moriarity, 85, a resident of Scott Township, PA since 1993 died Thursday, June 11, 2015 at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton, PA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Moriarity.
Born on February 7, 1930 in Bronx, NY, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Henrietta Reinhardt Brembs.
Rosemarie was raised in the Bronx and graduated from Walton High School. On September 15, 1951 she married her husband Edward and they resided in Huntington, Long Island, NY.
She was a devout Catholic and volunteered much of her time helping with church functions in Huntington. She was also a care giver to her husbands family.
She was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, daughter-in-law, a terrific aunt and godmother to many and a special sister and sister-in-law. She will be forever missed.
She is survived by two children: Anne Marie Bensch of Dickson City, PA and Edward R. Moriarity of Scott Township, PA; a brother: Robert Brembs and wife Joan of Randolph, NJ; a brother-in-law: Harry Browne of Greenfield Township, PA; many nieces, nephews and very dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her twin sister: Lillian Browne.
Friends called Thursday, June 18, 2015 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 18 Airport Road, Clifford, PA. A blessing service was held at 3:30 p.m., by Rev. Michael J. Kirwin, pastor of St. John Vianney Parish, Royal and Montdale, PA. Cremation followed.
