Rosella C. Vadala, 86, a resident of the Forest City Nursing Home, Forest City, PA., and formerly of 127 Dundaff Street, Carbondale, PA., died Sunday afternoon at Marian Community Hospital, Carbondale.
Born January 10, 1920 in Carbondale, PA., she was the daughter of the late Frank and Frances Arnese Vadala.
She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Carbondale and was employed for many years in the local garment industry as a sewing machine operator.
She was a loving sister, aunt, great aunt and godmother who loved to play cards.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and aids at the Forest City Nursing Home for all of their special care shown to Rosella.
She is survived by one brother: Frank Vadala of Middletown, DE.; four sisters: Dorthy Warren and Marie Wilson both of New Castle, DE., Kay Werwinski of Tonawanda, NY. and Judith and husband Joseph Muia of Childs, PA., who were also he caregivers.; Several Nieces Nephews
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Patrick and Joseph Vadala; four sisters: Jean Knowles, Sandra Mosher, Rita Ruddy, and Frances Baffone
The funeral was held Saturday, June 24, 2006 at 9:00 AM from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home, Inc., Farview and 41st Streets, Carbondale with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 15 Fallbrook Street, Carbondale, celebrated by the Rev. Russell Motsay, pastor. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA.
Friends called Friday, June 23, 2006 from 5 to 9 PM
