Obituary

Rose M. Pascoe age 95, of 36 Hospital Street, Carbondale died Tuesday evening, March 19, 2002 after a brief illness at Marian Community Hospital, Carbondale. She was the wife of Santo A. Pascoe, former Lackawanna County Sheriff, who died November 28, 1968. Born December 10, 1906 in Italy, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Francesca (DeFazio) Cerra. She came to the United States at the age of 5 and settled in Carbondale. She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Carbondale. She was a graduate of the Carbondale High School class of 1925. She was a member of the Carbondale Historical Society. She was a former member of the Democratic Committeewomen and the Altar and Rosary Society. Pascoe of Carbondale, PA; three brothers: Louis Cerra of Oneonta, NY; Bernard Cerra of Worcester, NY; Patrick Cerra of Oneonta, NY; 3 Grandsons; 1 Great Grandaughter; Nieces Nephews Preceded in death by infant twin daughters: Angelina and Francesca Pascoe; one sister: Jennie Carline; one grandson: Michael Pascoe The funeral was held Saturday, March 23, 2002 at 9:00 am from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home, Inc., Farview and 41st Streets, Carbondale with mass at 9:30 am from Our Lady Of Mount Carmel Church, 15 Falbrook Street, Carbondale con-celebrated by her son Rev. Louis B. Pascoe, S.J. and the Rev. Russell Motsay, pastor of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Carbondale. Interment, Mother Of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Twp. Viewing was held Friday, March 22, 2002 from 2-4 and 7-9
