Rose A. Corrigan, 95, of Carbondale, PA, died Thursday, June 30, 2016 at the Carbondale Nursing Center, Carbondale, PA. Her husband, William M. Corrigan died on April 15, 2003. Born September 23, 1920 in Carbondale, PA, she was the daughter of the late William and Anna Fitzgerald Mack. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale. Jeff Arthur and his wife Tammy, whom Rose considered as her special grandson and caregiver would like to thank the staff of both the Forest City Personal Care Home and the Carbondale Nursing Center for their compassionate care. They would also like to thank Pat Dragwa, Maryellen Zazzera and Jean Ezman Malec for their love, kindness and friendship to Rose over the years. She is survived by three grandchildren: Roseann DeAntonio and husband John, Jeffrey Arthur and wife Tammy all of Carbondale, PA and Tom Arthur and wife Sherry of Greenfield Township, PA; nine great grandchildren: Karissa, Katie, Jeffrey, Riley, Seth, Logan, Tommy, Chase and Gianna; a sister-in-law: Betty Mack of Binghamton, NY; several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a daughter: Jean Marie Sweet; a son-in-law: Art Sweet; her first husband: John Pidgeon; a grandson: John Arthur; a great grandson: Zachary Arthur; two sisters: Mary Pickard and Laura Turrell; two brothers: Joseph and James Mack. The funeral was held Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. from the Edward A. Wade Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 4 Morris Place at Terrace Street, Carbondale, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Rose of Lima Church, 6 North Church Street, Carbondale, celebrated by Rev. Andrew Kurovsky, administrator and Deacon Edward Casey. Entombment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA. Pallbearers: Jeffrey, Seth and Mark Arthur, Edward Naniewicz and Joseph Buonomo.
