Rose M. Bilotta, 93, formerly of 42nd Street, Carbondale, PA., died Wednesday afternoon, April 29, 2009 at the Ascera Care Hospice, Peckville, PA. She was the wife of the late Santo Smiler Bilotta who died November 20, 2008. Born March 24, 1916 in Carbondale, PA., she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Anna (Guzzi) Tolerico.She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Carbondale.The family would like to send special thank you to Janina Dec, whose compassionate care given to Rose allowed her to spend the last five years of her life with her family and friends at home. Special thanks is also given to Dr. Frank Moro, Dr. Burke and staff at Northeast Radiation and Oncology as well as the entire staff at Ascera Care Hospice in Peckville. She is survived by one son: Serafine Bilotta and wife Mary Ann of Waymart, PA.; three grandchildren: David Bilotta and fiancee Kristen Umholtz, Joseph and Marissa Bilotta; numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by an infant son: Joseph Bilotta; eight brothers: Santo Ben, Joseph, Peter Swally, Carmine Carnie, Alfred Alfro, Albert Doylie, Fred Rick and Anthony Butch Tolerico.The funeral was held Saturday, May 2, 2009 at 9:00 AM from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home Cremation Services, Inc., Farview and 41st Streets, Carbondale, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 15 Fallbrook Street, Carbondale. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA. Friends called Friday, May 1, 2009 from 5-8 PM. Pallbearers: All nephews-Carmine Tolerico, Anthony Tolerico, Stephen Tolerico, Richard Tolerico, Anthony Tolerico, Michael Tolerico, James Tolerico and Carl Tolerico.
