Rosalie Moraski, 96, of Carbondale, PA, and formerly of Forest City, PA, died Saturday, February 11, 2023 at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton, PA, surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Walter S. Moraski, who died August 17, 2009.

Born March 19, 1926 in Barnesboro, PA, she was the daughter of the late Armand and Mary Barrett Interlicchio.

In her earlier years, Rosalie worked as a union seamstress but her greatest joy was a homemaker to her entire family. She was sweet, kind and truly lived for her daughter, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Rosalie was a devout Catholic, a former member of Sacred Heart Church, Forest City, and regularly prayed the Rosary. Heaven has gained a true angel with Rosalie.

She is survived by one daughter: Anne Munifo and husband, Joe of Carbondale, PA; three grandchildren: Rita Lapera and husband, Jonathan, Joseph Munifo and wife, Brooke and Angelina Munifo and wife, Mackenzie; three great grandchildren: Gino, Nico and Vivianna, with two more on the way; two brothers: Joseph Interlicchio and wife, Barbara and Anthony Interlicchio; three sisters-in-law: Josephine Siebert, Dolores and Gladys Interlicchio; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by four brothers: Salvatore, Alfred, James and Frank Interlicchio; one sister: Catherine Interlicchio; and a sister-in-law: Anna DeGonzague.

The funeral was held Thursday, February 16, 2023 from Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc, 89 Farview Street, Carbondale, PA, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Rose of Lima Church, 6 North Church Street, Carbondale, PA, celebrated by Rev. Seth Wasnock, pastor. Interment, Sacred Heart Cemetery, Forest City, PA.

Pallbearers: Joseph Munifo, Jonathan Lapera, Joseph Munifo and Robert deGonzague, David Biernat and Joseph Interlicchio.

A viewing was held Wednesday, February 15, 2023 from 4-7 p.m.

Memorial donations in Rosalie's name were sent to the donor's choice.
