Ronald J. Troast, age 71, of Paupack, PA. and formerly of New Jersey, died late Friday night, August 28, 2009, at the Hospice Community Care, Dunmore, PA. His wife of 59 years is the former Adrienne Andy L. Shepstone. Born July 9, 1938 in Teaneck, NJ., he was the son of the late Jacob N. and Ella (Gundlach) Troast.He was a graduate of the Bergen County Vocational Technical School in New Jersey. He served as a Strategic Air Commander for the Air Force. His last place of employment was in the maintenance department for Lake Region IGA in Hawley, PA. He was a loving grandfather who loved his grandchildren very much. He is survived by one son: Timothy Michael Troast of Lakeville, PA.; seven grandchildren: Kyle Alexander Troast Zuvic and Zachary Scott Troast Zuvic both of Lakeville, PA., Cody James Troast, Kyra Michelle Troast and Kayla Nicole' Troast all of Hawley, PA., Paul Tertelis of Philadelphia, PA. and Gloria Camus of New York, NY.; two great grandchildren: Ava Marie Tertelis and Shelby Elizabeth Tertelis, both of Philadelphia, PA.; two sisters: Laurel Allievi of Bergenfield, NJ. and Barbara Galliher of Clearwater, FL.; two brothers: Henry Troast of Tallahassee, FL. and Jeffrey Troast of Texas.He was preceded in death by one son: Shawn Patrick Troast; one brother: Stephen Troast.A private graveside service followed by inurnment was held Saturday, September 26, 2009 at the Queen of Peace Cemetery, Hawley, PA. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home Cremation Services, Inc., Farview 41st Streets, Carbondale, PA.
