He served with love.
Our dad lived his life in service to others. He shared his love of flight with all that wanted to learn and spent twenty proud years as a Captain with Eastern Airlines. He served as a provider and role model to his expansive family. He served his country via an esteemed career in the armed forces. He served his community via his 22 years stewardship in Fell Township as Supervisor and dedicated servant. He relished his role as Chief peacekeeper and friend to those in Hop Bottom. All that he gave to others, we cherish about him. His smile, tremendous physical energy and passion built bridges, both figuratively and literally. His greatest gift was the immeasurable love that he gave and thus generated in return. His accomplishments will live on and remind us all what it means to serve. We think on him as we do of other great men long past. Our admiration and love for him has no end.
