Ronald L. Caffiero, Jr., aged 65, of Carbondale, PA, passed away Wednesday evening, September 13, 2023 at his daughter's home in Forest City, surrounded by family, after a valiant fight against cancer.

Born on March 11, 1958, in Brooklyn, NY, Ronald was the cherished son of the late Ronald Caffiero, Sr. and Helen Hempstead Caffiero.

A proud veteran of the U.S. Army, Ron carved out a 45-year career as a master carpenter. Before settling in Carbondale nearly two decades ago, he had made his home in New Jersey.

Ron's passion for music was evident; he played drums in a band alongside some of his closest friends. An unwavering supporter of the New York Yankees and the New York Giants, he imparted his love of sports to his granddaughters, relishing every moment spent cheering for them at their softball games. In his leisure time, Ron embraced the serenity of the outdoors, often camping and fishing.

Ron's legacy is one of immense love and generosity. As a "Pop Pop", he showered his grandchildren with affection, and they held a special place in his heart. His proudest achievement was raising his two daughters single-handedly, a role he held close to his heart.

He leaves behind his loving daughters: Ryan Enoch and her husband, William, of Beachwood, NJ, and Tara Stokes and her husband, Randall, of Forest City, PA. He will also be fondly remembered by his four grandchildren: Adrianna, Audrey, Brooklyn, and Brody, as well as his two brothers.

A funeral service, including military honors, was held Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at 7:30 p.m. at Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., located at 89 Farview Street, Carbondale, PA. Friends and loved ones paid their respects from 5 p.m. until the commencement of the service.
