Ronald D. Allen, 57, of Lenoxville, PA., died Monday morning, February 1, 2010 at home following a courageous battle with cancer. Born September 1, 1952 in Carbondale, PA., he is the son of Margaret Williams Allen of Lenoxville and the late Lawrence Allen, who died July 4, 2009. He was a graduate of the Mountain View High School, Kingsley, PA. and was a Navy veteran having served during the Vietnam War on the frigate, USS Bowen. Prior to his illness, he was employed as a tractor trailer driver for five years. He is survived by one brother: Donald Allen and wife Lisa of Lenoxville, PA.; two sisters: Diane Pennay and husband Merle of New Smyrna Beach, FL. and Betsy Walters and husband Ed of Clarks Summit, PA.; 8 nieces and nephews; 9 grand nieces and nephews. As per his request he was cremated. Family and friends called Saturday from 2-6 PM at the family home in Lenoxville. Inurnment, Clifford Valley Cemetery, Clifford, PA. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home Cremation Services, 18 Airport Road, Clifford.
