Robin E. Linsell, 75, of Nicholson, PA, died Friday morning, August 10, 2018 at the Gino Merli Veterans Center, Scranton, PA. He is survived by his wife, the former Cheryl P. Sherwood. Born January 1, 1943 in St. Albans, England, he was the son of the late Percy and Evelyn Barlow Linsell. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he was also an avid hunter, golfer and fisherman who enjoyed the outdoors. Robin's passion in life was his career as a self employed carpenter whose talents included furniture and boat construction. He also cherished the time spent with his family. He is survived by three sons: Dennis Linsell and wife Amy of Wind Gap, PA, James Linsell and wife Michele of Jermyn, PA and Michael Donovan of North Jackson, PA; two daughters: Jodi Ball and husband Brian of Clifford, PA and Christina Fries of Laceyville, PA; one step son: Joseph Donovan of Dimock, PA; one sister: Sheila Lucas of Elmwood Park, NJ; 10 grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by a granddaughter: Emily Donovan; and a sister: Janet Morris. The funeral was held Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. from the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 18 Airport Road, Clifford, PA, officiated by Pastor James Major of the Watson Hill Bible Church. Interment with military honors, Sandy Banks Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA. Pallbearers: Kyle Linsell, Zachary Linsell, Brian Ball, Michael Donovan, Joseph Donovan, Mason Fries and Jeremy Fries.
