Robert J. Tressel, 72, of Carbondale, PA, died suddenly on Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at his residence.

Born May 13, 1954 in Queens, NY, he was the son of the late John and Victoria Brennan Tressel.

One to never sit still, Bob was a hard worker his entire life. He retired from Glass Products in Carbondale, after 22 years of employment and continued to worked part time at TGI Friday's in Dickson City, up until his passing. He took great enjoyment in mowing lawns and being everyone's handyman. Bob will be fondly remembered for his reliability, punctuality and especially his stubbornness. He loved his grandchildren dearly and was a devoted family man. A New Yorker through and through, Bob was an avid Yankees and Giants fan.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Lorraine Tressel; six children: Katie Quinn and husband, Michael, Timothy Mulholland, Shawn Mulholland, Steven Mulholland and wife, Amber, Travis Mulholland and Justin Tressel and wife, Jessica; 11 grandchildren: Nolan and Cooper Quinn, Zachary and Grace Mulholland, Steven Mulholland and wife, Jazzy, Verona, Aiden and Connor Mulholland, Caleb Rixford, Bentley and Zoey Tressel; a great-granddaughter, Amelia Rixford; and several nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held Tuesday, August 4, 2026 from 5-7 p.m. at Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 89 Farview Street, Carbondale, PA. A blessing service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. by family friend, Sister Lila Sciabica, IHM.
