Robert C. Ransom, 78, of Lenoxville, PA, died Sunday, February 5, 2017 at his daughter's home in Clifford Township, PA. Born May 13, 1938 in Carbondale, PA, he was the son of the late Robert R. and Agnes I. Becker Ransom. Robert worked as a farmer on the family farm in Lenoxville. He enjoyed living on the farm and wildlife. He also enjoyed working with his hands and the outdoors. He will be missed by his family and his faithful dog Gracie. He is survived by two daughters: Ruth Ann Powanda and companion James Cliff of Clifford Township, PA and Kathy Wilbur and husband Daniel of Montrose, PA; one son: Robert C. Ransom and companion Theresa Spangenberg of Vandling, PA; 12 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; one sister: Irene Sechrist of Lenoxville, PA; two brothers: Donald and James Ransom, both of Lenoxville, PA; several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by one brother: John Ransom. Private services were held at the convenience of the family from Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Clifford, PA.
