Robert N. Parry, 59, of Clifford, PA, and Childs, PA, died Friday, September 4, 2026 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, PA, after a lengthy illness.

Born December 11, 1966 in Carbondale, PA, he is the son of Marjorie Merritt Parry of Childs, PA, and the late Ronald “Reco” Parry.

Bob was a graduate of Mountain View High School, Kingsley, PA, attended Marywood College and graduated from the Lackawanna County Policy Academy. He retired from J.C. Penney at the Viewmont Mall where he was a sales manager. He was formerly active with the Clifford Township Volunteer Fire and Ambulance Company, and served as Past Master of Carbondale Lodge 249, Free and Accepted Masons. Bob was of the Baptist faith and formerly worshiped with his family at the Elkdale Baptist Church, West Clifford, PA.

He is survived by three children: Jairus Parry of Childs, PA, Emily Parry of Honesdale, PA, and David Parry of Carbondale, PA; one sister: Pamela Grecco of Newton Lake, PA; two brothers: Ronald H. Parry of Erie, PA, and John T. Parry of Childs, PA; and several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by his grandparents: Howard and Margaret MacNamara Merritt and Norman and Doris Phillips Parry.

Private funeral services will be held from Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Clifford, PA. Interment, South Gibson Cemetery, South Gibson, PA.
