Robert Krzywiec, Sr. age 70, of 12 Robinson Avenue, Carbondale died late Wednesday evening, November 13, 2002 at the VNA Hospice Inpatient Unit at Marian Community Hospital, Carbondale. His wife was the former Joyce A. Mussari, who died October 19, 1992.
Born June 15, 1932 in Eynon, PA. He was the son of the late Benjamin and Caroline (Kroftus) Krzywiec.
He was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Carbondale. He was a graduate of Archbald High School and attended the University of Scranton. He was an Air Force veteran having served during the Korean War. Prior to his retirement he was employed as an engineer for 34 years with the DH Railroad.
He is survived by one daughter: Deborah Loughney of Clinton, NJ; two sisters: Gertrude Krzywiec and Eleanor Rose both of Eynon, PA.; two brothers: Carl Krzywiec of North Huntington, PA. and Charles Krzywiec of Eynon, PA.; 4 Grandchildren
He was preceded in death by one son: Airman Robert Krzywiec, Jr. who died in 1984; three brothers: Joseph, Andrew and Anthony Krzywiec; two sisters: Helen Cachor and Susan Bertha
The funeral was held Saturday, November 16, 2002 at 9:00 am from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home, Inc., Farview and 41st Streets, Carbondale, with mass at 9:30 am in Our Lady Of Mount Carmel Church, 15 Fallbrook Street, Carbondale, celebrated by Rev. Russell Motsay, Pastor. Interment, Mother Of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Twp, PA.
