Robert D. Keen, 82, of Jackson Township, PA, died Sunday, November 29, 2015 at the Barnes-Kasson Hospital, Susquehanna, PA, following a short battle with cancer.
His wife of 55 years is the former Trudy Jones.
Born October 1, 1933 in East Benton, PA, he was the son of the late George Carlton Keen and Myrtle Hunt Geisshart.
Robert was a graduate of East Benton High School and became a self employed dairy farmer. He then became an artificial inseminator for Atlantic Breeders in Dauphin County for 18 years, before his retirement. He served in the Air Force and spent his retirement fishing and gardening.
He is survived by twin daughters: Denise Pease and husband Lloyd of Susquehanna, PA and Dianne Miller and husband G. Allen of Scott Township, PA; one son: Kenneth Keen of Coopersburg, PA; six grandchildren: Matthew Pease, Kendal Henning, Heather Soden, Kyle Miller, Justin Keen and Shannon Keen; four great grandchildren: Madison Soden, Jordan Henning, Tyler Soden and Paige Henning; one brother: George Keen of Greenfield Township, PA; several nieces and nephews.
As per Robert's wishes, he was cremated and a private memorial service will be held in the future.
Cremation arrangements were under the care of the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Clifford, PA.
