Robert P. Hughes, 51, of Dalton, PA., died Tuesday morning, April 9, 2013 at Hospice Community Care, Dunmore, PA., after his struggle with cancer. Born January 27, 1962 in Scranton, PA., he was the son of the late Thomas and Helen Ross Hughes. He was a kind and loving man who enjoyed building, cooking, helping others and being outdoors. He is survived by his daughter: Tanya Leigh Hughes and companion Danielle Laurain; his longtime companion: Kathleen Fletcher and her two children: Justin Fletcher and wife Kim and Sarah Fletcher and fianc Elmer Wilbur; three brothers: John Hughes and wife Colette, Thomas Hughes and companion Darlene Lugo and Samuel Hughes and companion Peggy Walsh; one sister: June Morgan; 7 grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister: Peggy Aires A memorial service was held Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 10:30 AM from the Clarks Green Assembly of God, 204 South Abington Road, Clarks Green, PA.
