Richard Michael Vosefski, of Apalachin, NY, passed away on March 1, 2023 at Binghamton General Hospital just days before his 86th birthday.

Richard was the 8th of nine children born to the late Andrew J. and Anna L. (Konoski) Vosefski of Carbondale, PA.

He was a graduate of Mayfield High School, Mayfield, PA, and attended Penn State University, Scranton campus. Upon graduation, Richard served with the Connecticut Army National Guard. He had been employed as a skilled machinist/tool and die maker with Pratt and Whitney in Meriden, CT, and then for the General Electric Corporation in Westover, NY, where he retired after 25 years of employment. Richard loved hunting, fishing, spending time with family and friends, and riding around his many acres of woodland in his Polaris jeep. His greatest pride came from being papa to his three granddaughters.

He is survived by his ex-wife: Barbara (Smiegal) Vosefski; two daughters: Michele (James) Georgoudes of Endwell, NY and Beverly (Kenneth) Berman of Whitehall, MI; three brothers: Albert, Joseph and Walter Vosefski; one sister: Delores Kelly; three granddaughters: Katherine and Alexandra Georgoudes and Abigail Berman; numerous nieces and nephews; two pet chickens and his 17-year-old cat, Buddy.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte (Champluvier) Vosefski; three brothers: John, Francis and Andrew Vosefski, a sister: Louise Moran; and several in-laws.

A celebration of life with military honors was held on Monday, April 3, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. from the Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 89 Farview Street, Carbondale, PA, officiated by Rev. Seth Wasnock, pastor of St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale, PA. Interment took place in the Wyalusing Cemetery, Wyalusing, PA.

Friends called Monday, April 3, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
