Richard A. Tangradi, 95, of Paupack, PA died Saturday, September 21, 2019, at home surrounded by loved ones. His wife is the former Helen Sandulka Tangradi. Born June 29, 1924 in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Vincent and Mary Wisneski Tangradi. He was an Army Air Force World War II veteran and Prisoner of War. He flew 23 missions as a tail gunner in a B-17 Flying Fortress over occupied Germany and earned several medals including the Purple Heart. He is survived by one son: Robert Tangradi and wife, Maryann; two grandchildren: Richard Tangradi and wife, Shannon and Michelle Martiello and husband, Eric; five great grandchildren: Vincenzo, Mason, Harper, Gavin and Hazel. He was preceded in death by a son: Richard Tangradi, and a brother: Edward Tangradi. A Memorial Mass was held Monday, October 7, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Martha's Church, 11301 Academy Road, Philadelphia, PA. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Carmine J. & Louis C.
