Richard T. Rugar, Sr., 65, of Carbondale, PA, died Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at VNA Hospice, Scranton, PA. His wife was the former Linda F. Jacob who died on June 11, 2009. Born May 31, 1950 in Jersey City, NJ, he was the son of the late Robert and Frances Zelinski Rugar. He was a former resident of Jersey City, New Jersey and prior to his retirement he had been employed at Catlow Movers in Jersey City. He is survived by six children: Tracey Rugar, Richard T. Rugar, Jr., James Rugar, Robert Rugar, Joseph Rugar and Justin Rugar; two sisters: Mary Wildermann and Shirley Miranda; two brothers: Harry and Edward Rugar; 10 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Carbondale, PA.
