Richard L. Hiemenz, 68, of Clifford Township, PA, died Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley, Wilkes-Barre, PA. He is survived by his wife the former, Karen J. Batcher. They would have celebrated their 46 wedding anniversary on October 23rd. Born June 22, 1949 in Cold Spring, MN, he was the son of Leroy Joseph Hiemenz of Cold Spring, MN and the late Delphine Ida Anderson Hiemenz. He had been employed as a truck driver for Anderson Trucking in Minnesota and retired after 30 years of employment from Picatinny Arsenal, Picatinny, NJ. He was a veteran of the Army. He is survived by two sons: Rick J. Hiemenz of Seaside Heights, NJ and Allen J. Hiemenz of Lancaster, PA; three daughters: Amanda Hiemenz of Milford, PA, Carrie Hiemenz at home and Mary Presto of Lords Valley, PA; 11 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Clifford, PA.
