Obituary

Richard G. Clark, 77, of Dalton, PA., died Thursday morning, December 21, 2006 at the VNA Hospice Unit at Moses Taylor Hospital, Scranton, PA. He wife of 53 years is the former Rachel Scone. Born May 13, 1929 in Scranton, PA., he was the son of the late Merle and Marjorie Cordner Clark. Prior to his retirement, he was a truck driver and was a member of the Teamsters. He was of the methodist faith. An avid hunter and fisherman he enjoyed boating and the outdoors. He was a devoted husband and a loving father and grandfather. He is survived by two sons: Ronald Clark of East Benton, PA. and Mark Clark of Scranton, PA.; three daughters: Brenda Mennig of Clifford, PA., Linda Scott of Mehoopany, PA., and Kimberly Clark of East Benton, PA.; 11 Grandchildren; 14 Great Grandchildren; Several Nieces Nephews. He was preceded in death by and infant son: Richard Clark, Jr. The funeral was held Saturday, December 23, 2006 at 2:00 PM from the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home, Dundaff Main Streets, Clifford, with the Rev. Catherine Parsons, pastor of the East Benton United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment, East Benton Cemetery, East Benton, PA. Friends called Friday, December 22, 2006 from 6-8 PM. Pallbearers: Steve Tewksbury, Michael Riddel, Michael Novotka, Jeffrey Mennig, Jr., Christopher Mennig and Ron Clark.
