Richard "Dick" Case, 94, of Clifford Township, PA, died Saturday, January 16, 2021 at the Carbondale Nursing Center, Carbondale, PA, after an illness.
Born June 4, 1926 in Waymart, PA, he was the son of the late Leon and Hazel Wells Case.
He was a member of the Clifford Baptist Church but attended the Community Bible Church in Greenfield Township, PA. He was an Army veteran of World War II and retired from R.J. Longo Construction Company in Denville, NJ, where he worked as a mechanic. He also worked for nine years at Harry Letzic Company in Carbondale, as a truck driver and Lapera's Gas Station in Royal, PA. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 141, Atlantic Highlands, NJ, where he also lived for over 30 years. Dick had a passion for collecting and restoring antique farm tractors.
He is survived by one son: Richard Malone of Union Dale, PA; one sister: Barbara Case of Clifford Township, PA; one brother: Fred "Butch" Case of Clifford Township, PA; several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers: John "Jack" Case and Clayton Case; and a sister: Leona Evans.
A graveside service with military honors was held at the Willow View Cemetery, Clifford, PA.
Arrangements were entrusted to Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Clifford, PA.
