Raymond G. Sheridan, Sr., age 68, a lifelong resident of Lenoxville, PA., died early Thursday morning, June 4, 2009 at home from a lengthy illness. His wife of 49 years is the former Christina B. Woodruff. Born July 15, 1940 in Lenoxville, PA., he was the son of the late William G. and Pearle (Allen) Sheridan. He was retired from Penn Dot in Montrose, PA. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed camping and spending time fishing on the St. Lawrence River with his family. He was also a member of the Mason's Harford Lodge 445 and he attended Harford High School. He was of the Methodist faith. He is survived by one son: Raymond G. Sheridan, Jr. of Lenoxville, PA.; one daughter: Wendy B. Norville and husband Leonard of South Montrose, PA.; four granddaughters: Ashley and Brandy Norville and Tessa and Tara Sheridan; two great grandchildren: Kailey and Brandon Taylor; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.; two sisters: Billie Ellen Stone and husband Charles of Lynn, PA. and Hazel O'Dell and husband Jim of Brooklyn, PA.; two close friends: Allen DeCavage of Arizona and Clyde Very of Nicholson, PA.As per Raymond's request, cremation took place at the Maple Hill Crematory, Archbald, PA.Arrangements were under the care of the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home Cremation Services, Dundaff Main Streets, Clifford, PA.
