Raymond J. Ohnmacht, 79, of Tafton, PA., died Monday night, February 28, 2011 at Allied Services, Scranton, PA. He was the husband of the former Florence A. Siegfried. They were married in 1969. Born July 1, 1931 in Philadelphia, PA., he was the son of the late Alvin and Martha (Eggleton) Ohnmacht. Before moving to Tafton he had resided in Philadelphia and Beach Lake, PA. He was a truck driver for 30 years and worked for several trucking companies. He was an Army veteran having served during the Korean War and was a lifetime member of the VFW in Philadelphia. He is survived by two daughters: Valerie Coffman husband Richard of Mt. Carmel, PA. and Judy Blaser husband William of Gilbert, AZ.; two sons: John Ohnmacht wife Marie of Delran, NJ. and Daniel Ohnmacht of Philadelphia, PA.; 13 Grandchildren; 12 Great Grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother: Alvin Ohnmacht; one sister: Catherine Taylor. As per his request he was cremated and no services were held. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Carbondale, PA.
