Raymond M. Gallo, 84, a lifelong resident of Carbondale, PA., died Tuesday evening, October 13, 2009 at the Highland Manor Personal Care Home, Carbondale. His wife was the late Irene J. Barbini, who died October 11, 1982. Born July 10, 1925 in Carbondale, PA., he was the son of the late Fred and Tomassina (Rizzuti) Gallo. He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Carbondale and was an Army veteran serving in World War II where he was a Corporal with the military police. He is survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.He was preceded in death by one brother: Gus Gallo.The funeral was held Saturday, October 17, 2009, at 9:00 AM from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home Cremation Services, Inc., Farview 41st Streets, Carbondale, PA, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 15 Fallbrook Street, Carbondale, PA. Interment was held on Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA. Friends called Saturday, October 17, 2009 from 8:00 to 9:00 AM at the funeral home.
