Obituary

Raymond J. "Ray" Clark, 76, a lifelong resident of Carbondale, PA, died Sunday, February 1, 2015 after an illness. His wife is the former Patricia Connor. They were married on February 13, 1970. Born August 7, 1938 in Scranton, PA, he was the son of the late Joseph Clark and Marguerite Jones Clark. Ray was a 1957 graduate of the Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale and later served with the 109th Infantry of the Pennsylvania Army National Guard. For over 40 years he owned and operated Ray's Towing Service in Carbondale and also worked for PennDOT before his retirement. Ray also built his own stock car and was proud of his racing team that left him with so many fond memories. In his later years, Ray cherished the time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. The family expresses thanks to DaVita Dialysis in Childs, Dr. Matt Haley and Dr. Ferdinand Manahan for their kind and compassionate care to Ray over the years. He is survived by two daughters: Renee Miley and husband Wes of Big Flats, NY and Shelly Muraca and husband Frank of Carbondale, PA; four grandchildren: Connor and Catherine Miley and Emma and Erin McHale; two sisters: Joyce White of Honesdale, PA and Sue Langan-Morris and husband William of Ft. Lee, NJ; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters: Donna Cicerini and Janice Roskosky. As per Ray's request, he was cremated and no public services were held. Arrangements were entrusted to the Carmine J. & Louis C Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Carbondale, PA.
