Ralph T. Perry, 69, of Jermyn, PA, died Saturday, August 23, 2025 after a courageous battle with kidney disease at home surrounded by his family. He is survived by his girlfriend of 15 years, Kathy Wagner Brown of Carbondale, PA.
Born June 7, 1956 in Scranton, PA, he was the son of the late Frank and Ann "Nan" Corrigan Perry.
Ralph was a 1974 graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale, and worked in numerous local nursing homes and hospitals as a CNA. He enjoyed theatre and was a member of the West Side Players Theatre Group where they raised money to perform in Italy and performed at the North American College where the Pope was in attendance. He enjoyed watching his grandson Carson racing sprint cars.
He was also a singer with World War III Band, enjoyed bowling and bowled numerous 300 games and golfing. He was an avid New York Yankee and Washington Redskins fan.
He is also survived by one daughter: Kara Bolden and husband, Bryan of Quinlan, TX; two sons: Erik Perry and wife, Emily of Morehead, NC and Nicholas Perry and wife, Bailey of Garland, TX; three grandchildren: Carson Lee Bolden, Caiden Perry and Azalea Swainston; two sisters: Annie Pepson and husband, Gene of Jermyn, PA, and Debbie Merrifield of Peckville, PA; one brother: Frank "Rodi" Perry and wife, Ann of Carbondale, PA; the mother of his children: Suanne Friedrich of Quinlan, TX; godchildren: Kevie Kennedy, Kyle "Bubba" Pepson and Erica Barbaro Swift; nieces and nephews; and Kathy's daughters: Caitlyn Carroll and husband, David and Emily Brown and husband, Mark Kenzakoski.
A funeral service was held Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. from the Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 89 Farview Street, Carbondale, PA, celebrated by Sarah Mountain, Chaplain of Hospice of the Sacred Heart. Interment, Willow View Cemetery, Clifford, PA, at a later date.
A viewing was held Tuesday, August 26, 2025 from 3-7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ralph's name were made to Paralyzed Veterans of America at secure.pva.org and Hospice of the Sacred Heart at hospicesacredheart.org.
