Obituary

Philomena Bell, 97, of East Windsor, NJ. and formerly of Carbondale, PA., died Saturday evening, March 5, 2011 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Hamilton, NJ. Born March 9, 1913 in Mayfield, PA., she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Sophia (Kieszkowski) Kruszewski. She formerly attended St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale and St. Anthony's of Padua Church, Heightstown, NJ. She was a registered nurse and worked as an operating room and charge nurse at the Bushwick Hospital, Brooklyn, NY. and several other hospitals in New York. She loved cooking and shopping. She is survived by one daughter: Deanna Bell of Morganville, NJ.; one son: Robert Bell and wife Rosemarie of Robesonia, PA.; two grandchildren: David and Rachel Bell; 3 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers: Charles, Alexander and Joseph Kruszewski; three sisters: Pauline Wyszynski, Alice Thomas and Charlotte Tatom. A private committal service followed by entombment was held Monday, March 21, 2011 in the chapel of St. Gabriel's Cemetery, Marlboro, NJ. Arrangements were conducted by the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Carbondale, PA.
