Philip D. "Junior" Calachino, Jr., 82, Blakely, PA, died Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at home surrounded by his family after an illness. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, the former Ronna-Gae Thompson.

Born December 3, 1940 in Carbondale, PA, he was the son of the late Philip D. Colachino, Sr., and the late Angelina Rocco Colachino.

Philip was a graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale, and had been employed as a manager at RCA/Thompson Consumer Electronics, Dunmore, prior to his retirement. While at RCA he served as president of the employee's union. He was a devoted Catholic and a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Carbondale. In his pastime Philip enjoyed playing golf, bowling and fishing.

Philip was loved and will be painfully missed by his family. He enjoyed holiday celebrations, birthdays and family picnics and gatherings. He was cared for at home by his wife and daughter, and Traditional Hospice Care.

He is survived by four children: Cheryl Keen and husband, Russell of Dickson City, PA, Philip D. Calachino, III., and wife, Nancy of Scott Township, PA, Michael A. Calachino and wife, Kathy of Scott Township, PA, and Timothy D. Calachino and wife, Sarah of St. Augustine, FL; seven grandchildren: Michael, Amanda, Philip IV., Marissa, Samantha, Molly and Emily; one brother: Dominick "Sonny" Colachino of Carbondale, PA; four sisters: Anna Evans of Mechanicsburg, PA, Mary Ambrosecchia of Carbondale, PA, Joann Chumard of Eynon, PA, and Carol Munley of Jessup, PA; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by four brothers: Joseph, Thomas, Louis and William; and one sister: Rose Carite.

Viewing hours were held Sunday, December 11, 2022 from 2-5 p.m. at Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 89 Farview Street, Carbondale, PA. A blessing service was conducted at 5 p.m.
