Peter Marcho, 82, of Royal and Clifford, PA., died Friday morning, November 21, 2008 at home after a battle with cancer. He was the husband of the former Ina Wysosky. They were married November 1, 1952. Born March 7, 1926 in Olyphant, PA., he was the son of the late Metro and Anna Yanek Marcho. He was a barber for 24 years having built his barber shop, a pool room and the original Mt. View Diner in Clifford. He later built the Clifford Hardware Store and Auto Center and was in that business for 37 years. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a lifetime member of the Elk Mt. VFW Post 8488 in Lenox. He was also a member of the Clifford Volunteer Fire Company and St. Pius X Church, Royal. He loved his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed hunting and fishing especially with his grandson. He is survived by five children: Edward James Marcho; Chris Douglas Marcho and wife Ellen and their children Chelsea and Christie; Kim Yvonne Bostjancic and husband David and their children Cassandra and Jessica; Thomas Peter Marcho; Shawn Nathan Marcho and his children Kiana and Chandler all of Clifford, PA.; several nieces, nephews and cousins.He was preceded in death by two brothers: Michael Marcho and Pete's twin Louis Marcho; two sisters: Mary Arthur and Elizabeth Carlson.The funeral was held Monday, November 24, 2008 at 8:30 AM from the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dundaff and Main Streets, Clifford, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 AM in St. Pius X Church, Route 106, Royal, celebrated by the Rev. William D. Campbell, senior priest. Interment, Willow View Cemetery, Clifford.
