Peter Frishko, Sr. age 86, formerly of 185 Pierce Road, Greenfield Twp. died Saturday morning, September 7, 2002 at the Osprey Ridge Health Care Center, Carbondale. His wife is the former Genevieve Kutch who died May 13, 1989.
Born October 18, 1915 in Wilkes-Barre, PA. He was the son of the late John and Elizabeth (Goy) Treschak.
He was a member of St. John the Baptist Russian Orthodox Church, Dundaff. He was a United States Army Veteran and was issued a Service Medal, Combat Medal, and Good Conduct Medal.
He was an avid fisherman and loved gardening.
He is survived by three daughters: Eileen Keklak of Carbondale, PA., Sandra Pate of Norristown, PA. and Debbie Frishko of Greenfield Twp., PA.; two sons: Paul Frishko of Carbondale, PA. and David Frishko of Greenfield Twp., PA.; four sisters: Helen Micklick of Jermyn, PA., Elizabeth Perechnsky of Jessup, PA., Anna Prokop of Archbald, PA. and Irene Miller of Carbondale, PA.; two brothers: Charles Frisko and Nick Treschak both of Florida; 9 Grandchildren; 8 Great Grandchildren
He was preceded in death by one son: Peter Frishko, Jr.; one brother: Michael Frishko
The funeral was held Tuesday, September 10, 2002 at 9:30 am from the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home, Dundaff and Main Streets, Clifford, with mass at 10:00 am in St. John the Baptist Russian Orthodox Church, Dundaff, celebrated by Father Dennis Swencki, Pastor. Interment, parish cemetery, Dudaff.
