Pauline P. Gates, 95, of Scranton, PA., died Saturday morning, May 11, 2013 at the Carbondale Nursing and Rehab Center, Carbondale, PA. She was the wife of the late William Gates, who died on October 6, 1987. Born January 23, 1918 in Scranton, PA., she was the daughter of the late Charles and Anna Jablonsky Minkel. She was a member of the former St. Joseph's Church in North Scranton, PA. She is survived by one daughter: Florence A. Konosky of Carbondale, PA.; one son: William Gates, Jr. of Frankfort, NY.; three grandchildren: Florence C. Konosky, William and Renee Gates; 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three siblings: Ted, Florence and Gloria; a son-in-law: John Konosky; a daughter-in-law: Gloria Gates. As per her request she was cremated. Inurnment, Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst, PA. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Carbondale, PA.
