Paul Thomas Fox, 80, of Santa Fe, New Mexico, died peacefully Friday, April 16, 2010 in Santa Fe.
Born October 9, 1929 in Carbondale, PA., he was the son of the late Paul J. and Anna (Beer) Fox.
He formerly resided in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania and moved three years ago to Santa Fe to be near his family. He was retired from the Honeywell Corporation in New Jersey as a machinist after 35 years. He played trumpet professionally all of his adult life as a jazz musician. He served for a number of years on the executive board of the Musicians Union, Local 237, Dover, New Jersey. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
He is survived by one son: James Fox and wife Joan of Santa Fe, NM.; one sister: Barbara Forster and husband Bill of Mehoopany, PA.; one brother: Gerald Fox and wife Barbara of St. Cloud, FL.; four grandsons: Dean, Kelly and Todd Fox all of Las Vegas, NV. and Jonathan Fox of New Jersey; 5 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one son: Gerald Fox.
Friends called Friday, April 23, 2010 from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at the Edward A. Wade Funeral Home Cremation Services, Inc., 4 Morris Place at Terrace Street, Carbondale. A committal service was conducted by Rev. William D. Campbell at Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA.
