Paul Fife, Sr., 73, of Childs, PA, died Sunday, April 18, 2021 at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton, PA, after an illness. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Sharon L. Parry on June 5, 2012. Born July 19, 1947 in Carbondale, PA, he was the son of the late William and Julia Matichak Fife. Paul was a graduate of Lakeland High School and prior to his retirement, he had been employed for 30 years as a salesman for D.G. Nicholas Auto Parts, Carbondale, PA. He also served his community as a police officer for 20 years with the Carbondale Township Police Department. In his retirement, he took up what would become his hobby, the operating of a vending machine business servicing local businesses. Paul was a member of the Meredith Hose Company, Childs, PA, attended the Berean Baptist Church, Carbondale, PA, and was a New York Yankees fan. He is survived by two sons: Mike Fife and wife, Holly of Greentown, PA and Paul Fife Jr. of Childs, PA; one daughter: Denise Fife of Mayfield, PA; six grandchildren: Nicole, Shauna, Alyvia, Sean, Vanessa and Vianna; one sister: Ann Rogish of Carbondale Township, PA; several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by four brothers: James, John, William and Robert Fife; two sisters: Maria Damski and Sarah Cibula; and a step-brother: Francis Fife. The funeral was held Thursday, April 22, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. from the Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 89 Farview Street, Carbondale, PA, with Rev.
