Patrick A. Cianflone, 67, of Clifford Township, PA, died Saturday, September 26, 2015 after a sudden illness. His wife of 45 years is Shirley Cianflone. Born in Carbondale, PA, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Margaret Obzud Cianflone of Simpson. Pat graduated from Fell Township High School in June of 1965 and enlisted in the Marine Corps in December of 1965 serving during the Vietnam War era. He became an atomic demolition technician and was awarded the National Defense Medal. He spent ten years as a Psychiatric Security Aide 1 at Farview State Hospital in Waymart, PA and owned and operated SJC Auto Sales in Lenoxville, PA, with his wife. Pat loved spending time with his family and was truly a wonderful husband, father, and "papa". He had an amazing strength of character and loyalty and was always there for his loved ones and friends. He had a great love of animals and took care of any animal that wandered into his life. He enjoyed NASCAR, food, antiques and just about anything that involved his wife, daughter and grandchild. Pat's passing was completely unexpected. Our loss of him has broken our hearts and left an unbearable emptiness in our lives. Words could never express the depth of our sorrow and pain. He was and always will be so dearly loved. He is also survived by a daughter: Heather Cianflone; a granddaughter: Hailey Margaret. As per Pat's wishes, private service were held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements were entrusted to Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Clifford, PA.
