Patricia E. O'Hop, 76, of Clifford Township, PA, died Saturday afternoon, August 12, 2023 at Allied Services Skilled Nursing Center, Scranton, PA, after a nine-year battle with Parkinson's Disease.

Born April 25, 1947 in Carbondale, PA, she was the daughter of the late Stanley F. O'Hop and the late Emma Salansky O'Hop.

Pat was a graduate of Mountain View High School and attended, along with her mother, St. Martin of Tours Church, Jackson, where she volunteered for many fund raisers and events. She also volunteered at the Montrose Senior Center and enjoyed polkas, music, knitting, bingo and picking blueberries. Her greatest joy in life was being a caretaker for her mother.

The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the many staff and residents of Allied Services for their care and friendship to Pat over the past nine years. While residing at Allied Services, her daily interactions with staff and residents allowed her to flourish and to live independently.

She is survived by one sister: JoAnne Bolin of Factoryville, PA; 8 nieces and nephews and 14 great nieces and nephews, all of whom were very important to her; and numerous cousins.

She was also preceded in death by one sister: Carol Emmett; and one brother: William E. O'Hop.

The funeral was held Friday, August 18, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. from the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 18 Airport Road, Clifford, PA. Interment, Willow View Cemetery, Clifford, PA.

Friends called Friday, August 18, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
