Patricia M. Doolittle, age 63, of Lenoxville, PA. died late Wednesday evening, April 6, 2005 at Mercy Hospice, Scranton, PA. following a stroke. Her companion and soulmate for the past 25 years is Richard W. Ross.
Born July 31, 1941 in Mayfield, PA. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Anna (Laskowski) Prybicien.
She was a graduate of the Mayfield High School. When she was younger, she loved bandstand and a good Polka. Aunt Patsy was the life of the party, and lived each day to the fullest. Those close to her knew that she seemed tough, but took things to heart. Diagnosed with lymphomia in 2001, she had the courage to fight and beat it and was cancer free at the time of her death. She was employed by Penndot for 10 years where she received many state awards and took pride in the service she provided. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by one daughter: Patty Husband Brian Hill of Olyphant, PA.; three sons: Art, Jr. wife Lisa Doolittle of Dimock, PA., Vincent Wife Jan Doolittle of Fort Sheridan, IL. and Eric Doolittle of Olyphant, PA; four sisters: Ann Louise Valentine of Uniondale, PA., Victoria Karausky of Vandling, PA., Phyllis Gursky of Vestal, NY. and Theresa Trusky of Forest City, PA.; three brothers: Frank Prybicien and Marty Prybicien both of Mayfield, PA. and Carl Prybicien of Carbondale, PA.; 9 Grandchildren; Numerous Nieces Nephews
She was preceded in death by one step son: Randy Ross; one brother: Thomas Prybicien; one sister: Veronica Jarusik; one niece: Diane Valentine
The funeral was held Monday, April 11, 2005 at 1:00 pm from the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home, Dundaff Main Streets, Clifford, PA, with the Rev. Mark A. Honhart, assistant pastor of St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale, officiating. Interment, Clifford Valley Cemetery, Clifford.
Friends called Sunday, April 10, 2005 from 5-8 pm. Pallbearers: Vincent Doolittle (Son), Artie Doolittle (Son), Dale Jarnagin, Jeremy Freis, Eric Shively and Doug Shively.
