Patricia “Patsy” Denesevich, 82, of Carbondale, PA, died Monday, June 22, 2026 at Allied Services Rehab Hospital, Scranton, PA. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Gregory H. Denesevich, Jr. on March 7, 2021.

Born April 2, 1944 in Carbondale, PA, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Rose Giordano Vadala.

Patsy was a graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale, and a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Parish, Carbondale. She was an avid bowler in her younger years but especially loved bingo. When she resided on Oak Avenue all the neighborhood kids would frequently visit and chat with Patsy as she enjoyed her front porch. A fantastic cook, no one ever left her home without being fed.

She is survived by one son: Greg Denesevich of Simpson, PA; one brother: Bruno Vadala and wife, Norrice of Carbondale, PA; one nephew, two nieces and numerous cousins.

She was also preceded in death by her son: Patrick C. Denesevich.

The funeral was held Friday, June 26, 2026 from Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 89 Farview Street, Carbondale, PA, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. from St. Rose of Lima Church, 6 North Church Street, Carbondale, PA, celebrated by Rev. Boniface Ameyaw, assistant pastor. Interment, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery, Carbondale, PA.
