Oscar Garcia, 85, a resident of the Carbondale Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Carbondale, PA, died Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Regional Hospital, Scranton, PA. Born July 25, 1931 in Santa Rosa, Colombia, he was the son of the late Aurelio and Maria Guevara Garcia. Prior to moving to Carbondale three years ago, he resided in both Queens, New York and Colombia. He was a retired life insurance salesman having worked from his office in Bayside, New York. He is survived by two daughters: Maria Rappa of Flanders, NY and Clara Miller of Greenlawn, NY; three sons: Juan Carlos Garcia of Colombia, David Garcia of Australia and Robert Garcia of Long Island, NY. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Carbondale, PA.
