In his younger days Norris was passionate about fixing up and working on cars and as an avid outdoorsman he spent countless hours hunting and fishing and was a master at both. He was a longtime owner and fan of Harley Davidson motorcycles and cherished the time riding on the open roads. Norris will also be fondly remembered for his terrific homemade wine, as well as his gardening skills which always produced an abundant harvest of vegetables and fruits. Another craft he mastered and loved was grafting fruit trees.
Norris loved the outdoors from picking mushrooms to hunting or riding his side by side in the woods with his family. Another love he had was cooking, canning and trying new recipes. He also loved grilling and using his smoker to try all different kinds of recipes and then having the family up to have a party and enjoy. Most important to Norris was his family, he spent much of his time with his wife and children boating and fishing and taking vacations every year. Later in years he loved his grandchildren to be at the house and he played with them and helped care for them and they all loved him dearly.
