Norma I. Vanderlaan, 68, of Blakely, PA, died Monday, April 3, 2017 in the emergency room at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton, PA, after being stricken ill. Born September 3, 1948 in Fajardo, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of Antonia Ruiz Suarez of Florida and the late Emiliano Suarez. She is survived by her loving husband: Robert Vanderlaan; two daughters: Janet Roza and Angela DeJesus; five grandchildren: Jessica Hennie, Veronica Hennie, Rene Rivera, Christina Rivera and Jackie Rivera; several great grandchildren.
