Norma J. Jaget, 91, of the Village of Gibson, PA, died Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at the Forest City Nursing Home, after falling ill in November. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Charles W. "Chuck" Jaget.

Born August 20, 1933 in Lincoln, NE, she was the daughter of the late Ray F. Magnuson and Marie Quick Magnuson.

Norma was a graduate of the University of the Pacific, Stockton, CA, and later received a master's degree in education. She was a dedicated school teacher for many years in both Knightsen, CA, and at the Mountain View School District in Kingsley, PA. Mrs. Jaget primarily taught 5th and 6th grade at Mountain View from 1980 to 1993 when she retired. While at Mountain View, she will be remembered for her innovative writing program which she instituted along with her passion for language, arts and social studies. Norma had served as president of both the Mountain View Education Association and the Business and Professional Women's Club. During her first marriage, she was also proud of the fact that she was able to teach in Pakistan for a period of time.

Norma had a deep love for music and had served on several area church boards. During her retirement she and Chuck enjoyed traveling, especially cruises. They have fond memories of their many adventures especially zip lining in the Caribbean and spending an entire year on a small sailboat where they sailed the Atlantic coast line.

She is also survived by two children: Daniel Cronk and wife, Paula of Citrus Heights, CA and Susan Cronk of Pamona Park, FL; two step-children: Darryl Brian Jaget and wife, Dawn of Union Dale. PA, and Susan Elizabeth Jaget of Playa del Ray, CA; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by a step-son: Charles "C.J." Jaget; and a sister: Kay Potter and husband, James.

A celebration of Norma's life was held Wednesday, March 5, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. from the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 18 Airport Road, Clifford, PA, officiated by Rev.
