Nicolo Scarfalloto, 73, of Carbondale, PA, died Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at home. Born January 5, 1946 in Raddusa, Providence of Catania, Italy, he was the son of the late Salvatore and Grace LoMonaco Scarfalloto. Prior to his retirement, he had been employed as a cook in the family business, Two Guys Italian Restaurant in Honesdale. He was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale, and enjoyed gardening, cooking and raising chickens. He is survived by two sons: Marco Scarfalloto of Odessa, TX and Mario Scarfalloto of New Orleans, LA; one daughter: Josephine Ann DeSena and husband, Joseph of Staten Island, NY; two grandchildren: Sal and Joe DeSena; three sisters: Lina Valerio and husband, Benny of Honesdale, Enza Squatrito of Honesdale, PA and Lorenzina Fratto of Middletown, NY; three brothers: Joseph Scafalloto and wife, Rosalia of Honesdale, PA, Angelo Scarfalloto and wife, Jackie of Montrose, PA and Rodolfo Scarfalloto of Georgia, several nieces and nephews. The funeral was held Saturday, August 3, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. from Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 89 Farview Street, Carbondale, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Church, 6 North Church Street, Carbondale, celebrated by Rev. seth Wasnak, assistant pastor. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA. Pallbearers: Joseph DeSena, Salvatore Scarfalloto, Joseph Scarfalloto, Thomas Bier, Richard Vito and Carlos Berrios.
