Nicholas Savage, age 29, of Carbondale, PA., died Monday morning, September 22, 2008 at the Community Medical Center, Scranton, PA., from injuries sustained after being struck by a truck on Main Street in Simpson, PA.
Born September 9, 1979 in Carbondale, PA., he is the son of Nicholas and Cecelia Savage of Carbondale. Nicholas loved the outdoors, hiking, fishing and enjoyed writing poetry. He had a big heart and was a handyman who enjoyed helping anyone in need. He was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend who will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by two sisters: Kelli Lynn Savage-Puza and husband John Puza of Carbondale, PA. and Nicole Lynn Savage of Carbondale, PA.; five nephews: Zachary, Charles, Jacob, Austin and Eric, all of Carbondale, PA.; three nieces: Haley Marie, Kianna Marie Alexandria, all of Carbondale, PA.; Aunts, Uncles and Cousins The funeral was held Friday, September 26, 2008 at 8:30 AM from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home Cremation Services, Inc., Farview 41st Streets, Carbondale, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 AM in St. Rose of Lima Church, 6 North Church Street, Carbondale, celebrated by Rev. William D. Campbell, senior priest. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA.
Friends called Thursday, September 25, 2008 from 2-4 7-9 PM. Pallbearers: Josh Savage, Derrick Savage, Tim Savage, Santo Russo and Joe Andrews.
