Obituary

Natalie Marie Shinn, 74, of Clifford Township, PA, died on Sunday, January 9, 2022 at Barnes Kasson Hospital. Natalie was the daughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. John G Shinn. She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Bobby and Rick Shinn, and sister Diane Box. Natalie was born on February 1, 1947 in Rose Valley, PA. Her family moved to Union Dale, PA, in 1972, and Natalie spent her (early) adult life in Philadelphia, PA before returning home to Union Dale. She worked as a business administrator for most of her adult career and was a payment processor at Adams Cable for 16 years before she retired. Most people who met Natalie always knew she was cooler than most, and tougher than the rest. As someone who threw no punches, you never had to guess where you stood. She was always the first one to tell you to knock it off, and the also the first to congratulate you when you pulled it together. And if you spent any time with Natalie you were best friends by the end of any conversation, while laughing through it all. Natalie was an avid animal lover and a talented artist. She was a devoted friend to Christine, Wendy, and too many others to list. Holidays wont be the same without Natalie and her sister Diane rocking it out around the kitchen island to Motown songs. Natalie was the mother to daughters: Alicia (Harrison) Belmas and Michelle (Harrison) Tran and the proud grandmother of Jack, Ashley, Nicholas, Erik and Danny. She was a loving and caring sister to her siblings and their spouses: John Jack, Kevin and husband, Terry, Gerard Gerry, David and wife, Leslie, Jean and husband, Mark and Joseph Joe. She was also a wonderful aunt and great aunt to many nieces and nephews. In addition she is survived by her Uncle Earl, and her cousins whom she loved very much. Natalies absence will be greatly felt. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Pius X Church, State Route 106, Royal, PA, on Thursday, January 13th at 11:00 am. Immediately following, family and friends gathered at Chets to send Natalie off in the only way she would have wanted. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations were sent to the ASPCA https://secure.aspca.org Arrangements were under the care of the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Clifford, PA.
