Nancy M. Snyder, 84, of Lenox Township, PA, died Thursday, February 16, 2023 at home surrounded by her family after a lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, John E. "Fuzzy" Snyder, Jr. on October 5, 2008.

Born September 23, 1938 in Carbondale, PA, she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Marjorie Lloyd Correll.

Nancy was a 1956 graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale, and after graduation worked for 10 years at Daystrom in Archbald. She also worked for the Carbondale General Hospital and the Bendix Corporation in Montrose, where she retired after 10 years of service.

Nancy enjoyed traveling the United States with her husband in their motor home and did four cross country trips, but never seeing Louisiana. She also enjoyed camping with family and friends at Shore Forest Campground, water skiing and square dancing with her husband.

Nanny loved spending every weekend with her granddaughters, Ashley and Brittany Ransom, who were like her children. She enjoyed cooking homemade meals and made the best fudge you could ever eat. She will also be remembered for her famous red Kool-Aid. A huge staple in her life was the Elk Diner, where you could find her there twice a day with her family and crew of great friends.

She is survived by four children: Thomas Snyder, Sr. and wife, Nancy, Tami Coombs and companion, William Shultz, Donald Kelley and wife, Tanya and Judy Kelley and companion, Kevin Richardson; nine grandchildren: Ashley and companion, John Lewis, Brittany, Elijah, Donnie, T.J., Amanda, Suzanne, Daisy and John; nine great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; her faithful caregiver and crazy friend: Kathi Jo Hicks.

She was also preceded in death by five brothers: Edward, Walter, Eugene, James and David Correll; and her faithful companion: King.

The funeral was held Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. from the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 18 Airport Road, Clifford, PA, with Rev. Bonnie Resseguie, officiating. Interment, South Gibson Cemetery, South Gibson, PA.

Pallbearers: Shawn Clary, Elijah Zimmerman, T.J. Snyder, John Snyder, Edward Correll and Eric Correll.

A viewing was held Tuesday, February 21, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
